Five Persons Feared Dead as Civilian JTF Groups Fight for Territory

About five persons were feared dead in a confrontation between two sets of youth vigilante groups in Borno State at the weekend, residents said Sunday. It was gathered that trouble started in Borno's town of Biu about 185 kilometres from the state capital Maiduguri, when the two groups confronted themselves in a claim of who should hunt for Boko Haram, in the territory.

Mr. Ademola Fashola, the father of Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, is dead. He died on Monday morning, few days to his 80th birthday. Last year, he was flown to the United States for medical treatment in the heat of the Lagos doctors’ strike.
