In another shocking
move, Facebook has bought WhatsApp for a whooping sum of $19bn (£11.4bn) in
cash and shares, barely two years after it acquired Instagram for $1bn in 2012. WhatsApp is touted to currently have over 450
million monthly users. In a statement announcing the deal, Facebook founder
Mark Zuckerberg described WhatsApp's services as "incredibly
valuable".
