Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, has ordered
the verification of the
authenticity of the video released by
the Boko Haram sect. The video allegedly
showed where the Chibok schoolgirls were seen reciting verses
of the Holy Koran.
Shettima ordered that the video should be reproduced into a mobile
storage devices and verified by the Chairman of Chibok local government area,
parents and schoolmates. According to a press statement by the governor’s Special
Adviser on Media, Isa Gusau,
"Governor Shettima has directed transfer of the video into mobile
storage devices under the care of some officials, including the Chairman of
Chibok local government area”.
