On 27/7/2013 about 0130hrs,
fire gutted a shop at Herbert Macaulay Way by Market Street, Ebute-Metta. The
fire was put out by neighbours, police team and fire service personnel
mobilized to the scene. No life was lost. Cause of fire and value of property
destroyed are yet to be ascertained. The incident is under investigation at
Denton Division.
