Alhaji Bamanga Tukur
Contrary to widely publicised reports that President Goodluck Jonathan has advised the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, to relinquish his position Thursday, it has now emerged that the latter is still in charge of the ruling party.
This is as the party's Board of Trustee (BOT) meets Wednesday while the National Executive Council (NEC) parley on Thursday. Alhaji Bamanga Tukur told State House correspondents after more than an hour meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party with the president that he will not quit as speculated.
