Pipeline fire
Four persons who had gone to scoop petroleum products from a broken pipeline were yesterday killed in Tariya village of Bassa local government area, near Jos, Plateau State, when the line exploded in fire. Two of the victims, according to the Assistant Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Chrisantus Longbit, were burnt beyond recognition on the spot. Two others who were seriously hurt died at Our Lady of Apostle Hospital in Jos shortly after they were rushed there for emergency care.
