EXCLUSIVE: COUPLE SET TO WED NEXT WEEKEND DIE IN BOAT MISHAP

THE GROOM'S CAR STILL PARKED AT BELL MARINE JETTY
Mr Isaac Akere and his fiancee had left for work on Wednesday. They had parked their car at Bell Marine Services Jetty with the hope of picking it up at the end of the day. Sure, they went to work but they didn't return alive. Sadly, they were to tie the knots next weekend when the wicked hand of death snatched them both.

The duo were part of the passengers of the ill-fated Majidun Jetty-bound Bell Marine, a 28-passenger boat, that capsized between Eko bridge and Ikorodu waterways on Wednesday night. Although the body of the bride has since been recovered and deposited at the morgue, pending when the family would claim it, the body of the groom is yet to be found.

Attempts to reach the relatives of the engaged couple had thus far proven abortive, although the groom's car, which was parked at the jetty, was still unclaimed as at press time.
