EXCLUSIVE: Lagos Police CP Sets up panel over Drunken policeman

Lagos State Commissioner of police, Alhaji Umar Manko yesterday set up a panel to investigate the circumstances behind the shooting of innocent citizens by a drunken policeman.  The committee would also investigate how the mobile policeman attached to Mobile 17,Akure, Ondo state sneaked into to Lagos with taxpayers riffle. A police source said the killer Policeman has fled and would not report to his squadron, as he knew the enormity of the offence he has committed.
  "Why I am saying so is because he has not yet reported to the office and has switched off his two telephones. He was also on illegal duty when he committed the criminal act"
  He said his squadron Commander has been ordered to spot him out and recover the Ak 47 rifle he escaped with.  "As it is now, the police are more interested in the gun than the man, so we will do everything possible to get him."

Notorious armed robbery kingpin in South West   Abiodun Ogunjobi, AKA, Abey Godogodo, yesterday was discharged from hospital where the Lagos State police command took him for treatment before he would be made to face the full wrath of the law.
  He spoke to newsmen immediately he was brought to the command and   blamed his criminal escapades to improper home training and lack of parental care. 
  Godogodo who gave residents of Lagos, Oyo, Ogun and Ekiti States sleepless nights for over 14 years led most of the bank robberies and other deadly highway robberies in recent times.
  In an interview with the suspect at the State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, Lagos, the suspects noted that his parent abandoned him in an early age to fend for himself.

The Headquarters, Logistics Command, Nigerian Air Force, Ikeja now has a new Air Officer Commanding (AOC), in the person of Air Vice Marshal Monday Riku Morgan. Morgan, a seasoned fighter pilot, was the Senior Air Staff Officer, Tactical Air Command, Nigerian Air Force, Makurdi before his present appointment. 

A native of Idoma in Benue State, he took over the mantle of leadership from Air Vice Marshal Aminu Adamu. He is married to a Chief Medical Consultant, Dr Regina Morgan of the National Hospital, Abuja.

Police Dismiss Sergeant Caught on Tape Demanding N25,000 Bribe

The Lagos State Police Command today dismissed a Police Sergeant, Chris Omeleze, after an orderly room trial for demanding the sum of N25,000as bribe from a motorist. The sergeant until his dismissal was attached to the Lagos State Motor Traffic Division, (MTD) and was caught on video demanding for bribe from a motorists Tuesday.

The Sergeant with Force number 192954 was dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force, as he was reportedly found guilty at the end of the trial. The Sergeant was reported to have arrested a motorist who was returning from the airport, for contravening traffic rules. He was said to have entered the vehicle,threatening to take the motorist who was with a female passenger to the station.
