EXCLUSIVE: ECONOMIC SABOTAGE: Rivers State Police Arrests Three with three 55, 000 Litres Fully loaded Trucks of Oil


The Rivers State Police Command yesterday paraded three suspects, 42-year old Jonthan Okon, 28-year-old Bernard Kingsley and 26-year old Sunny Onacha, for economic sabotage. The trio were arrested with three 55,000 litres Mack trucks, with two fully loaded with contents identified to be crude oil.

The Rivers CP, Tunde Ogunsakin, said, "Since my assumption in office, I have intimated you of my strong resolve to fight saboteurs of our Nation’s economic growth. You and I know that the Federal Government of Nigeria is leaving no stone unturned in its fight against crude oil theft and vandalization of oil pipelines.

Another boat today capsized between Eko bridge and Ikorodu waterways at about 6:00 p.m but the information reached rescuers around 8:00 p.m. This information was confirmed by National EmergencyManagement Agency Spokesperson, Ibrahim Farinloye. I gathered that 28 passengers boarded d boat and 20 were rescued alive while 8 are still missing. 

Finally, SSS Release Omojuwa and Two Others


Hours after they were arrested for protesting the senseless death of 20 youths who died at the last NIS   Recruitment exam, Japheth Omojuwa, Azeernah Mohd and Uche Briggs, they were finally released today by the SSS. THE YOUTHS SPOKE AND THEY HEARD. LESSON: NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE YOUTHS.

For daring to ask the right questions and protest about the senseless death of youths at the NIS recruitment exam last month, Japheth Omojuwa, Azeenarh Mohd (female) and Uche Briggs were arrested this afternoon in Abuja. They alongside were taken to NSCDC office and there are reports that they were beaten by NSCDC officers at their headquarters. They've since been transferred to SSS office in Asokoro.  Nigeria we hail thee.
