Finally, Princess the Comedienne Weds Boo


The comedienne, Princess and her fiance, Ade yesterday 
made their union official. They got married today at the 
Federal Registry, Ikoyi. Their traditional wedding will hold 
on the 8th of May. 

Pandemonium as Police Allegedly Kill Pedestrian in Lagos

Pandemonium erupted at Haruna Street,  Ikorodu, Lagos, yesterday morning when a four-men police team attached to Owutu Police Division allegedly killed a pedestrian simply identified as Baba Peace.
 In a similar development,  a bus driver fleeing from officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), knocked down two pedestrian at Ketu bus stop, Lagos.

Also fingered in the death of Baba Peace was a yet-to-be identified bus driver, in an incident that left several others with varying degrees of injuries. It was gathered that the police officers who were on routine patrol had tried to intercept a commercial bus driver for allegedly driving against traffic.

The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu,  yesterday sounded a note of warning to governments in all strata of governance, urging them to work towards achieving credible elections in 2015 or risk inciting trouble in the country.

He made this call at the kick off of the three-day First Commanding Officers' Workshop entitled 'Enhancing the Professional Competence of Nigerian Army (NA) in Handling Contemporary Security Challenges', held at the 81 Division Headquarters, Lagos.
