Man with N81m Cocaine Arrested at Kano Airport

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)  has paraded a drug courier, Maduagwu Nnaemeka Charles, who was nabbed with three kilogrammes of  cocaine worth about N81 million. The suspect was arrested at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano with the cocaine as he arrived the airport from Brazil en route Egypt.

Army to Unearth Insurgents Dislodged from the North in Lagos


The Nigerian Army (NA), authority covering the Lagos and Ogun Areas of Responsibility (AOR), yesterday vowed to continue to unearth insurgents who escaped and relocated to the South-west region, from the North-eastern part of the country.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 81 Division of the Nigerian Army (NA), Major General Obi Umahi, made this disclosure during the Officers' Training Week held at the army auditorium in Lagos.

A petition from Fidelity Bank Plc dated November 11, 2013 to Commissioner of Police, Special Fraud Unit, Tunde Ogunsakin,  alleged that on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 a customer of the bank sent an e-mail to his account officer to transfer the sum of N10million from his personal account number 5270001730 to Standard Chartered Bank Limited and that he will do another transfer later but did not mention the amount.

The federal government Thursday took the battle to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) as it ordered its striking members to resume work by December 4 or lose their jobs. The government, which also pointedly rejected a new set of demands presented by the teachers, who have been on strike since July 1, directed vice-chancellors of all federal universities to immediately re-open their schools for academic and allied activities. They are also to provide a conducive environment for academic and allied activities that will encourage lecturers ready to work to do so.
