Police Arrest Woman for Abusing Bedwetting Niece

The police Tuesday paraded a 27-year-old woman, Joy Amodu, for allegedly inflicting grievous injuries on a 10-year-old girl for bedwetting. The victim had told the police that the suspect beat her up and inserted hot ointment in her private part.

Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), said the suspect, who claimed to work with a private security company in Lagos, beat up the victim and inflicted injuries on her.

Following the tragedy that followed last Saturday's immigration recruitment exercise  held at the National Stadium , AbuJa, President Goodluck Jonathan Wednesday cancelled all the immigration recruitment exercises held at different venues across the country.
No fewer than nineteen lives were lost across the country due to stampede at the stadium, occasioned by massive and excessive turn out of applicants. Minister of Information, Labaran Maku disclosed the while briefing State House correspondents, shortly  after the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC).
The meeting which barely lasted for an hour, the president according to the minister, directed that  families of  those who lost their lives should each be given three slots in the Immigration Service to be filled by their family members in the fresh recruitment , and one  must be a female.
Those who sustained injuries and hospitalised were offered automatic employment.
