A retired Army Major, Ali Abdullahi and a serving sergeant, Abdul Wahab Yunusa Tuesday asked an Abuja High Court to commit the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Onyeabor Azubuike Ihejirika and Lieutenant Col Femi Olorunyomi to prison for disobeying the court's order issued on October 8, 2012.

The Minister of Works, Mike Onolememen, Tuesday officially declared open all sections of the Third Mainland Bridge for use.
Onolememen said repair works on eight expansion joints have been competed.

The death of 22-year old domestic help, Onyeka Raphael, in a swimming pool at the Ogudu area of Lagos State has continued to generate controversy prompting a more detailed investigation by the State Police Command.

According to reports, Raphael, an indigene of Umunede in Ika Local Government Area of Delta State, was found dead in the bottom of the swimming pool at his employee’s residence at Babatunde Asimi Street, Ogudu GRA.
