NYANYA BLAST: Civil Defence Commandant Says Investigation is Ongoing


At the scene of the Nyanya Bomb balst, the Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ade Abolurin who spoke with members of the press advised them to wait for official statement.

Abolurin said that investigation was still going on, adding that  appropriate information would  be put out in due course. Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off and there is heavy security presence who are having difficulty controlling the crowd and miscreants.

8 Confirmed Dead as Another Bomb is Yet to Detonate




 Whilst rescue is ongoing at Nyanya, an Army personnel at the scene of the blast has alerted members of the public that there is still a bomb that is yet to be detonated.
 "Let everybody move out for a buffer, this environment is not yet safe. Move while we try to diffuse the bomb. If you are not in uniform for your own safety please" , the military advised.


Ambulance Arrives Asokoro Hospital after Nyanya Bomb Blast:




  Ambulance arrived the  Asokoro District Hospital hospital amid tight security following the second bomb blast  that occurred Thursday night at Abuja.  But it could not be    confirmed whether there were dead bodies and the number.

Security officials did not allow journalists who were at the   entrance to have a full view of what was happening  as the whole hospital environment was  sealed. But the second  Nyanya bomb blast is believed to have left  scores injured and dead.


BREAKING NEWS: ANOTHER BOMB BLAST HITS NYANYA ON MAY DAY



 
Another bomb explosion has rocked Nyanya, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), almost in the same location where a bomb exploded at a bus station 18 days ago.  Security and emergency agencies have rushed to site to assess the level of damage and rescue persons who might have been affected by the bomb blast.
