Security agents have begun a probe into the circumstances that led 15-year-old Ricky Daniel Ohikhena to sneak into the wheel of an Arik Air fight to Lagos last Saturday as they interrogated his mother, Mrs Evelyn Ohikhena. She was grilled by a combined team of  the Department of State Security (DSS) and aviation security officials.
Mrs Ohikhena, a hairdresser who resides in Benin, in an apparent effort to unite with her son had earlier yesterday told reporters that her son had been secretly nursing an ambition to travel to the United States without her consent.

Pandemonium erupted yesterday evening at the Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos when police officers attached to the Ishaga Divisional Headquarters clashed with some factional members of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC).

It was gathered that trouble started when policemen on patrol stopped the OPC conveyor which was moving towards Agege area, where they had aimed to launch a unit of the congress in the local government area.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested and detained a medical representative who attempted to record policemen attached to the Area E Command in the act of arresting a commercial motorcyclist. 

The victim who was identified as Gregory Ekene Muonyililo, was arrested at the Amuwo Odofin area of the state for trying to take videos of policemen who were allegedly harassing a commercial motorcyclist.
