The Federal Government (FG) has concluded plans to develop a Centenary City in Abuja as one of its endearing legacies of the  centenary celebration.
According to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim the City, which will be the first of its kind in Africa, will be modelled after the success of such cities like Dubai, Monaco, Singapore, Shenzhen, China and lately Sondo in South Korea.

Anyim disclosed this Tuesday in Abuja at the Centenary Investor’s Forum said the city would be a new 'smart city' to be built on more than 1,000 hectares of virgin land along the Airport Road in the city of Abuja, making it the second largest 'private city' development in history, after Sondo International Business District, Korea.
