The National Council for Women Society (NCWS) has disclosed that the planned motherhood centre which is expected to gulp  N20 billion would be named after  the First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan.
The National President of the NCWS, Mrs. Nkechi Okemini Mba, who briefed journalists on the project in Abuja Thursday, said the centre would be situated in Area 11,  Garki in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

She added that the centre would work with governments at the federal, state and local levels on policy formulation and inputs that affect women.
The centre would also drive policies for the domestication of international and  regional protocols and instruments that border on women issues.
"We decided to name the centre after the first lady in view of her  contributions to the elimination of obstacles inhibiting the political and economic advancement of Nigerian Women," she said.
The N20 billion is expected to be raised at a fund raising dinner which would hold very soon, she said.
