More snow is likely to mean further delays for passengers
Passengers at Heathrow Airport face further delays on Sunday with about
20% of flights due to be cancelled as more snow is expected.
More than 100 flights were cancelled on Saturday after hundreds of
passengers spent the night in the airport on Friday night, reports the
BBC.
Many complained about a lack of information from the authorities.
Between 2-6cm is forecast for Sunday - meaning poor visibility and reducing capacity, the airport said.
Snow at other European airports could also contribute to cancellations.
Details of which flights will be cancelled at Heathrow will be announced by airlines when they have finalised their schedules.
British Airways (BA), Air France, Aer Lingus, Lufthansa and TAP Portugal flights have been affected.
Latest forecasts showed a "high probability of around 2-6cm of
accumulating snow and low visibility at periods throughout the day," a
Heathrow spokesman said.

"This will reduce the capacity of the airport and without action would cause significant disruption to passengers and flights."
BA has already apologised to customers saying it was doing everything
it could to help those whose flights have been disrupted by the weather.
More than 400 flights were cancelled on Friday and passengers
complained about being keep on board aircraft for several hours awaiting
take-off and then being unable to collect their luggage.
"As snow is forecast for today [Sunday], the flight schedule has been
revised to reduce the number of flights operating and allow passengers
more time to adjust their travel plans."
