Culled from THISDAY- Operatives of the Department of State Security Service, SSS  Saturday raided the Abuja home and business concerns of a Lebanese owner of the popular Amigo Stores and Abuja Wonderland.
The action, according to a security source, may not be unconnected with last week’s discovery of a large cache of arms in a superstore in Kano State. The store is alleged to be linked to the owner of Amigo Stores.
When THISDAY visited the Wonderland park at the city centre in the evening, there was a heavy presence of SSS operatives who put the children recreation centre under lock and key, ensuring that intending visitors did not gain entry into the place.
A similar scenario was also seen at the Amigo Stores, Wuse 2, Abuja, as the place was sealed up, with the security operatives ensuring that prospective customers did not enter the store.
The SSS Spokesperson, Marilyn Ogar, confirmed the shutdown of both business premises saying that investigation on the activities of the owners was ongoing adding that the Service could not afford to jeopardise the process.

In her words: “On Thursday the Joint Task Force JTF in Kano State briefed the press about their findings during an  operation. It was discovered that the owners of Amigo Stores and Wonderland were indicted. As part of our process and in the course of investigation, the places needed to be shut down because we cannot afford to keep both places running.”
