President Goodluck Jonathan
Don't get me wrong, I believe in the efficacy of prayers but the Bible does say that faith (prayer as I dare add) without works is dead. So while our President is believing God through prayers that Nigeria will never witness such disaster like the Dana Air June 3 crash, I believe that it goes beyond that. We need to put our hands to the plough where our mouth is. So if GEJ says so, I hope he backs it with action by strengthening and sanitizing the aviation sector. Anyway, here is exactly what he said today in commemoration of those 153 passengers whose lives were snuffed out by the crash;
President Goodluck Jonathan has vowed that the nation will never again witness the kind of air mishap that claimed 153 lives in the ill-fated Dana Flight 992 crash a year ago.
President Jonathan, who gave the assurance Monday, reiterated that such sad incident will never happen again, pledging that the Federal government will do every thing to mitigate any such disaster in the future.
Dana Airline's flight 992 crashed in a suburb of Agege in Lagos on 3rd June last year few minutes before landing at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport,  killing all on board.
