Enugu Lion building 2015 Marshal 7 club hails Gov. Chime

ENUGU GOVERNOR
Marshal 7 club, a socio- cultural organization with members spanning across South-Eastern divide rose from a meeting in Lagos during the week and expressed gratitude to Governor Sulivan Chime of Enugu State for his honest disposition in his choice of Enugu North (Nsukka) to succeed him in Enugu state lion building in 2015.
The Chairman of the club, Chief Fidelis Ezema who spoke on behalf of the members stated that there was nothing more solemn than the truth as expressed by the Governor of the state in his frankness to the issue of a successor. “His Excellency has exhibited not only honesty, but a rare civility in leadership. We thank him not only for his statement but also for the good work he is doing in the state. Peace and security plus infrastructural and human capital development have become a hallmark of his administration.
“His presence is felt across the nooks and crannies of Enugu state. It must be put on record that this same club had some times in the past advised all political officer seekers from Nsukka divide to rally round the governor in 2011, so as to enable him have his own tenure unencumbered. Today, that prophesy has come to pass.”
The Club further advised egoistic politicians to take cue from Governor Chime and learn how to play politics without bitterness. “Taken statistics of Enugu state and its politics spanning from the era of Senator Jim Nwaobodo from Enugu East, , he became a governor from 1979 – 1983, under Nigerian People’s Party. After the election that was characterized with controversy, in 1983, Chief C.C Onoh from Enugu West was declared winner under NPN. Though his administration was short lived, because of military upheaval that sacked him from office. When the military conducted their elections in the nation, they beamed their search light on Chief Okwesili Eze Nwodo who emerged Governor from Enugu North divide.
“Then again in 1999, Dr. Chimaraoke Nnamani took over office a governor from Enugu east for a period of eight years- 1999 – 2007. He handed over the baton to his Excellency, Barr Sullivan Iheanacho Chime. He is currently doing his second term that will elapse in 2015. It therefore becomes imperative that a person from Enugu North should emerge as governor in 2015, based on this road map created by both man and nature.”

They advised those detractors who even wished the governor death to have a re-think as they are not God and can not terminate anyone’s life and advised the governor to continue with his good work as “no man can be all things to all men.”
