EXCLUSIVE: Rivers State POWA Chairperson Mrs. Ogunsakin Donates 36 Shops to Widows

The Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), Chairperson of River State Command headed by Mrs. Chinyere Ogunsakin on a visit to the POWA Market at Mini Okoro Market said POWA is to give assistance to widow who are in petty trading and charging widow for the market space should be fair and moderate.

Mrs Ogunsakin at inspection of Eleke Ohia market condemned the idea of allocation the former executives were using especially neglecting the less privileged who she believes should be the beneficiary.


The Chairperson said at the Market that former allocation of the Elek Ohia market is hereby cancelled and the 36 Shops presently in Allocation would be solely for Widows who has lost their husband in various areas. She said the new executives will conduct list of genuine people who will be the beneficiaries. 

Mrs. Ogunsakin thanked the market women who sang various songs in Igbo that this idea is in consonance with her husband policy of given life to the people who will appreciate it better and valued. The market is for you not the executives. She encouraged them to keep the barracks clean and enjoy peaceful cooperation.
