The Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), Chairperson of River
State Command headed by Mrs. Chinyere Ogunsakin on a visit to the
POWA Market at Mini Okoro Market said POWA is to give assistance to widow who
are in petty trading and charging widow for the market space should be fair and
moderate.

Eleke Ohia market condemned the idea of allocation the former executives were
using especially neglecting the less privileged who she believes should be the
beneficiary.
The Chairperson said at the Market
that former allocation of the Elek Ohia market is hereby cancelled and the 36
Shops presently in Allocation would be solely for Widows who has lost their
husband in various areas. She said the new executives will conduct list of
genuine people who will be the beneficiaries.
Mrs. Ogunsakin thanked the market
women who sang various songs in Igbo that this idea is in consonance with her
husband policy of given life to the people who will appreciate it better and
valued. The market is for you not the executives. She encouraged them to
keep the barracks clean and enjoy peaceful cooperation.
