The governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
Wednesday joined other Nigerians to express outrage and sympathy over murderous
bomb blast at the Nyanya Bus terminal in Abuja by pledging to establish a trust
fund to help bring succor to the families of the victims.
The governors of Imo, Lagos, Sokoto,Kwara, Adamawa,
Nassarawa and Ogun states who visited the Asokoro General Hospital and the
National Hospital to commiserate with victims
condemned the Nyanya bombing and the abduction of over 100 school girls
in Chibok in Borno state by terror gangs.
Addressing journalists who accompanied them to the National
Hospital, the Chairman of the APC Governors Forum and the Imo state Governor,
Chiief Rochas Okorocha said every Nigerian must resolve to join hands with
government to fight and defeat terrorism in the country.
"As part of our concern, we have decided to establish a
trust fund by the APC governors to support the families of the victims of this
unholy act. We shall also join forces with other democrats to ensure that this
bad story ends as quickly as possible. We pay for the deceased and the families
that lost their loved ones in the incident, " he said.
Governor Okorocha who spoke unbehalf of other governors said
the governors were at the National hospital to see those
who were involved in the ugly incident.
