Chief Mike Umeh
This is certainly not the best of time for the First Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Chief Mike Umeh, who was picked up Monday as an accomplice in a N15billion case.
Economic and Financial Crime Commission spokesman, Wilson Uwugiaren, confirmed the arrest of the NFF chief Monday and further hinted that Chief Umeh will be arraigned in a Sokoto High Court Tuesday in the case involving former Governor Attahiru Bafarawa.
Although further details of the deal that turned messy remained unknown, Chief Umeh who is an industrialist is believed to have played a role in the N15billion case to warrant his being arrested by operatives of the EFCC in Lagos.
