EXCLUSIVE: Two Policemen die in ghastly motor accident, two others in critical condition


Two policemen attached to the Lagos State Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), today died  in a ghastly motor accident on their way from Kaduna to Lagos, when they had a fatal motor accident at Omigare village along Lagos Ibadan Expressway.


While the duo of Inspector Evbouan and Sergeant  Aliyu Nuru died in the accident, the duo of Ugueze Cyprian, an Assistant Superintendent Of Police and Corporal Kasari Ambrose sustained serious injuries and are currently being treated  at The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital(LASUTH).

The policemen had travelled to Kaduna to arrest some notorious armed robbery suspects and on their way back, one of their vehicles burst and the vehicle summersaulted  and the vehicle ran into the bush.

The Lagos State Police Spokesperson, DSP Ngozi Braide who confirmed the incident said, "The men died in active service. May God grant the family of the bereaved the fortitude to bear the loss and heal those who sustained injuries."
