Depending on the result of the investigation instituted by the Lagos State Police Command, Songbird, MTN and Forte Oil ambassador might be arraigned before a Lagos court for allegedly assaulting a traffic warden who gave chase when she flouted traffic rules.
The police was reacting to new claims that the musician was the victim in the case. Remember that Tiwa had allegedly assaulted a male traffic warden at
the Victoria Island area of Lagos, although the police later told me that she made her apology in a written statement.
When I called the state Police Public Relations
Officer, Ngozi Braide, a deputy superintendent of police, she said the command is still investigating. She said the police had four witnesses who came to the station on that fateful day to make statements corroborating what the policemen said happened.
She however told me that there might be cause to institute a legal action against
Savage, depending on the outcome of the investigation and the way
the case tilts at the end of the day.
