Several troops sent to the border towns of Borno and Adamawa
states for operation flush out  Boko
Haram insurgents believed to have camped
at nearby Sambista forest, were involved in a fatal accident along
Madagali road and sustained various degrees of injuries today.
However,  the
Army  spokesman Captain Jafaru Nuhu when
contacted    kept sealed lips, but local
residents said  that the incident
occurred  on   a
tiny sharp  bridge at Wuro
Gayandi, few kilometers away from Michika town on Madagali road. The soldiers were on their way to the troubled -border  area of Madagali and Gwoza to flush out
dreaded members of Boko Haram.
‘’ A tinted   armoured
vehicle  being conveyed on truck  crashed
into the small river, injuring the soldiers on  aboard. The nature of the   armoured vehicle means the injuries are more
severe," said Mr  Musa Kwaji,
who  assisted in conveying the injured
soldiers to a nearby cottage hospital in Madagali.
