MISSION UNACCOMPLISHED: Troops on Mission Against Boko Haram in Fatal Accident



Several troops sent to the border towns of Borno and Adamawa states for operation flush out  Boko Haram insurgents believed to have camped  at nearby Sambista forest, were involved in a fatal accident along Madagali road and sustained various degrees of injuries today.


However,  the Army  spokesman Captain Jafaru Nuhu when contacted    kept sealed lips, but local residents said  that the incident occurred  on   a  tiny sharp  bridge at Wuro Gayandi, few kilometers away from Michika town on Madagali road. The soldiers were on their way to the troubled -border  area of Madagali and Gwoza to flush out dreaded members of Boko Haram.

‘’ A tinted   armoured vehicle  being conveyed on truck  crashed  into the small river, injuring the soldiers on  aboard. The nature of the   armoured vehicle means the injuries are more severe," said Mr  Musa Kwaji, who  assisted in conveying the injured soldiers to a nearby cottage hospital in Madagali.
