EXCLUSIVE: Police arrest madman with arm in Lagos




A mad man was weekend arrested with a pistol in Gowon estate area of Ipaja, Lagos.
The suspect, is currently being interrogated by operatives at the Anti-Robbery section of the State Criminal Investigation Department ,SCID, Yaba, Lagos,

Eye witnesses said the mad man had been loitering the area for two months. However, a curious passer-by was said to have suspected the insane man when he saw him wrapping an object with a rag. The mad man was said to have thereafter, started looking sideways , apparently to ascertain whether he was being watched, before he dumped the content wrapped with the rag inside a container in the dump site.

EXCLUSIVE: Lagos State Government Raise Alarm as Unknown Traffic Controllers Invade Roads




The Lagos State Ministry of Transport, yesterday raised an alarm after some yet-to-be identified persons took over regulation of traffic at the Old Toll Gate, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Mr. Shina Thorpe, said the illegal traffic managers who are unknown to the state government invaded the roadways with a view to causing public disturbances as their activities.

EXCLUSIVE: Police Recover Stolen Items in Lagos



The Lagos State Command yesterday took to its Facebook page, one of the social media tools, to announce the recovery of stolen items which they recovered from armed robbers who had earlier robbed the Magodo area of the state.

Some of the stolen items include 37 wrist watches, 21 mobile phones, five laptops, assorted jewelries and other household items.

The police called on people who were victim's of recent armed robbery attack at the Magodo area on Sunday to go to Isheri Police Division with proper identification to collect their properties.

23-year Old Lady Accuse Two Custom Officers of Rape





A 23-year-old lady has accused two officers of the Nigerian Custom Service (NCS), attached to Gbaji checkpoint, identified as Felola Uzezi and Mohammed Sanni, for raping her despite her pleas to the contrary.

After the incident, the victim who reported the incident to  Area K Police Command, told the police that she met one of the custom officers on social media network, Facebook precisely.

NDLEA Arrest Most Wanted Drug Trafficker




Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested one of the most wanted drug traffickers in Lagos.

The 52 year-old suspected identified as Onyejiaju Chukwuemeka at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, while trying to disembark from an Etihad flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil with about 2,605kg of cocaine which he disguise as candies.

Police detectives attached to the Lagos State Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) have arrested one of the most deadliest criminal in the whole of the South-Western Region.

The suspect identified as the former Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, (NURTW), Oyo State chapter, Mukaila Lamidi alias Auxiliary was arrested for gun running and some violent crimes in the south western states.

Customs Officer Bathes Woman with Acid




A personnel of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), simply identified as Nwaeze, who heads the customs unit at Mosafejo Aradagun unit, has allegedly bathed a young woman, one Tope Fadipe with acid.

This is coming at a time when the customs are trying to extricate themselves from a rape charge against two of its personnel, Felola Uzezi and Mohammed Sanni, who were accused of raping a 23-year-old lady at Limca Bus Stop area, still at Badagry.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Sports, Mr. Waheed Oshodi, has urged the Nigerian Navy (NN) to remain focused in sustaining momentum in sportsmanship.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has condemned the multiple bomb blasts that rocked the city of Jos earlier on Tuesday. He described the attacks as acts of cowardice that have no place in civilised societies.

During his sermon this past Sunday May 11th, pastor Tunde Bakare of Latter Rain Assembly, went really hard on Isha Sesay of CNN. According to him, Sesay was very disrespectful to Nigerian Government officials who she has been interviewing since she came into the country, making a whole Minister of Information Labaran Maku look like a school boy and showing no regard for his office or even the government he represents. He said to some extent we would say yes she should give it to him because all of a sudden it appears we have no government

In fact, the Lagos State Governor’s Aunty was robbed at gun point in Festac Town and two resident were shot at their head, this is worrisome and becoming unbecoming”, he noted.

Indications emerged yesterday that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) might invite a director in the office of the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for questioning based on the strength of the allegation contained in a petition against him.

The family of the recent victim of police recklessness, 32-year-old Oyoma Edewor, has petitioned the Lagos State Government, Babatunde Fashola, over the death of their son in the hands of a police sergeant, Otene Godwin, with force number 355272.

US Surveillance Aircraft Join Hunt for Kidnapped Schoolgirls
